Muncha! Muncha! Muncha! by Candace Fleming

Tippy, tippy, tippy, Pat!

Thats the sound three hungry bunnies make when the sun goes down and the moon comes up and Mr. McGreelys garden smells yum, yum, yummy. Whiles hes dreaming of his mouth-watering carrots, the bunnies are diving over fences and swimming trenches to get the veggies first!

Hammer, hammer, hammer, Saw!

Thats the sound Mr. McGreely makes when the sun comes up and the moon goes down and he sees what those twitch-whiskers have done... Nibbled leaves! Empty stalks! Mr. McGreely will build something bigger and better, sure to keep even pesky puff-tails away.

Children will cheer for the bunnies - or for Mr. McGreely - as they delight in Candace Flemings clever sound effects and G. Brian Karass vibrant, funny illustrations.

By Telegraph reporters. Many pet owners interpret the character's favourite food too literally and risk giving their rabbits tooth decay and other health problems, says the RSPCA. The charity said owners were mistakenly using carrots and other salad foodstuffs for rabbits' staple meals, adding that just 8 per cent of owners knew what to feed them. Eleven per cent of pet rabbits suffer from tooth decay and 11 per cent have digestive problems, according to research at the University of Bristol commissioned by the charity. People also think their rabbits should eat carrots because that's what Bugs Bunny does. The charity has launched a campaign called Hay Fever to encourage owners to feed rabbits correctly.
