I used that quote in my persuasive essay!!! Why Harry Potter is better than Twilight. Ever since the Twilight exploded around and , Harry Potter and the twilight series have constantly been compared and contrasted with each other before any other series. Maybe it was the fact that they both had to do with imaginary creatures such as vampires and werewolves, or maybe it had to do with how both of the series were very popular among the same demographic of people. But nonetheless, people who loved Harry Potter seemed to hate Twilight, and vice versa. Even worse, people who loved Harry Potter seemed to hate the people that loved Twilight.

Fear plays a central role throughout the Harry Potter series. In fact, you could say that the central conflict of the series — between Voldemort and Harry — represents the struggle between fear and courage. Voldemort uses fear in order to gain power, from spreading terror and apprehension throughout the wizarding world to creating an enigmatic persona around himself — shrouding his very name in fear. Even his pursuit of Harry is driven by fear: fear of the unknown power that allowed Harry to withstand and beat Voldemort as a mere baby. Harry, in contrast, represents the pursuit of courage — to withstand fears and fight despite their crippling nature.
The following is a list of themes considered to play a part in the Harry Potter Series , both academically and by J. K Rowling. According to best-selling author Stephen King, a major theme of the books is confronting fears. This is depicted by the fact that the whole society in the series fears Voldemort. They fear even speaking his name, instead calling him"You-know-who".
Jan 22, AM. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend. Since a lot of people like it, it can only be edited by super librarians. The quote is originally from the tublr of a girl named Robin Browne, was made popular by a guy named Andrew Futral, and then somehow someone started attributing King as origins of the quote. Is it possible to edit the quote, or maybe even delete it, since it is not originally from a published author? I have moved it from "Stephen King" horror writer.
