Him (Him & Her, #1) by Carey Heywood

Sarah Miller hasn’t been home in seven years. She thought she could stay away forever. If it wasn’t for her big brothers wedding, that is. Part of her even feels silly for staying away this long. Its not like anyone even knew what happened. Well, except for him.

That guy. The one she compared all others to. The one who set the bar so high no other guy after him could even compete. The one who made her feel like anything was possible. The one she thought she would never be good enough for. The one she spent the last seven years trying to forget.
All she needs to do is make it through the next week without running into him.

Kindness is something that makes someones day. Something you don't just do once a week or month but every day. Kindness is strong and powerful, so we should use it more often. You should ask yourself every day " how can I show kindness towards others! Kindness is giving someone a compliment. It could be something as small as "I like how you did your hair today" You might think they don't care or just said thank you because it's nice, but a compliment goes a long way. Your saying kind things all the time but sometimes you don't catch it.

On Tuesday, I celebrated my thirty-eighth birthday with the police and fire department, complete strangers, and Bob Goff. I love birthdays and everything that comes with them. Crepe paper, confetti, cake, gifts, and surprises. I once flew 3, miles to an Olive Garden in Rhode Island to surprise my dad on his birthday. It was the mountainous list of things to complete looming over my head.
