Reconciling Works (formerly Lutherans Concerned)

Reconciling Works’ purpose is full participation for all people – including the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, and Transgendered community – in the life of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  Organized in 1974 as Lutherans Concerned (the new name came about in 2012) there are chapters located throughout North America.  Hope has hosted the Cleveland Chapter since 1992.  Originally meeting the fourth Friday of each month, as many changes have advanced the social climate within the ELCA, the community has decided there is less and less reason to gather so often; we currently meet periodically, and look forward to gathering at the national assembly, the next one offered in July of 2014.
